Straight A student

Well, I am going to graduate with a Bachelor Degree in Science-Nursing, today. I got straight A's, summa cum laude. I walked the halls of academia. I am educated at the university level. Yea, that's right a high school drop out. I feel like the scarecrow after he meets with the wizard, (if I only had a brain, what you need is a university degree.) The last class I took, I got 100% on each assignment, I couldn't have gotten a higher grade the system doesn't allow for it. I attack each assignment with enthusiasm, cognitive of the great opportunity that had been afforded me. I never had the opportunity to go to the university. The advice that was given to me was that I should join the military, which I did. I served my country honorably. A couple years ago my employer asked if I wanted to go to the university, there was a special program that paid for the schooling. I said yea, sure, why not. I walked on campus scared, having flash backs of teachers from grade school that gave me all D's and F's, they would yell sit up straight, stop talking, put your hand out, whack whack. The voices of failure yelling "your a failure, you'll never amount to anything." Well, all those people were wrong. I am a complete success. Today I hold my head up and walk on the stage and have the dean hand me a bachelors degree. Summa cum laude, with highest honors.
